Bals presented numerous innovations at the "Light+Building"

With about 196,000 visitors – an increase of seven per cent – the 'Light+Building' in Frankfurt (15-20 April 2012) once again lived up to its reputation as the leading global trade fair for electric installation. Bals Elektrotechnik presented itself to the professional audience with an entirely redesigned stall and many innovations – and is highly satisfied with the results of the exhibition. "The strong interest that our new products attracted among both German and international trade visitors and the many, excellent discussions with representatives of the trade and specialised wholesalers shows that our versatile and user-friendly distributor housings meet customer expectations", says chief executive Wolfgang Bals.

In the brightest spotlight were two Bals distributor systems of the latest generation: While the solid-rubber MODBOX series' success saw it extended to include a Midi version, the new VARIABOX distributor housing series celebrated its world premiere at the specialist expo. But this should not overshadow another important topic: The future electric mobility market. In terms of connection technology for this field, Bals offers a comprehensive programme of components meeting today's state-of-the-art standards and technology.

Distributor housings provide a variable and safe energy supply in a very wide range of applications – from business establishments to industry, from port facilities to distribution centres, but also in mobile applications such as on building sites. With a high number of detail improvements – from modular configuration and radial seals to the operating window with self-locking OTC mechanism (One Touch Close – patent pending) – the new VARIABOX received a tremendous amount of interest from the professional audience. "We offer additional value at no additional cost, as the new distributors are available at a similar price level as comparable conventional distributor housings", adds Wolfgang Bals.
