Ceremonial signing of the cooperation contract between the Lapp Group and Bals Elektrotechnik GmbH

19.07.2011 - After a successful year-long "probation period", the cooperation contract with Stuttgart's Lapp Group was signed in the French city of Metz.

The high point of this year's Lapp Group trade press conference was the signing of the cooperation contract by Mr. Siegbert Lapp (Lapp Group Board of Directors) and Mr. Wolfgang Bals (Bals Elektrotechnik CEO) in the presence of roughly 60 international trade journalists. In the context of an excellent event with many exciting and innovative topics, it once again became clear how important it currently is for middle-sized German companies to invest together in new technologies.

The two cooperation partners, both specialists in their fields, complement each other perfectly in this area. Bals Elektrotechnik will contribute all plug and socket components for this seminal project. Stuttgart cooperation partner Lapp brings to the table its know-how of connector cables, well-established far beyond the borders of Europe. "Such loading cables have to work in all kinds of weather. We were able to directly apply experiences from the commercial vehicle industry and the wiring between tractors and trailers, for example, in the development of the new "Oil Flex Charge loading cables", reported Christian G. Gwosdek, General Manager of Lapp Systems GmbH.

"Through the cooperation of two strong companies, not only have excellent products been created in the past 1.5 years, but we have made many new friends with whom collaborating is fun", says Head of Marketing Andree Fischer. This cooperation is meant to be expanded on in the future, but at the moment, it is limited to electromobility. In the future, the two companies will work also work together in other areas such as the assembly of cables.
