INNOLINQ wins iF Design Award 2021

Outstanding design combined with perfect ergonomics, maximum robustness and the highest demands with regard to sustainability



Ever since it was first introduced a year ago, Bals INNOLINQ has been regarded as the new benchmark in innovative plug-and-socket systems. The pioneering design combines maximum stability and improved ergonomics with a high level of ecological efficiency. Experts are impressed: INNOLINQ is one of the winners of the renowned iF Design Award 2021. More than 9500 entries from 52 countries vied for one of the coveted awards – the Bals innovation won its award in the Product Design category.


The international jury of the iF Design Award was particularly impressed with how greatly sustainability played a role in the development of Bals INNOLINQ. The newly developed product does not contain any lead and, to conserve resources, is manufactured using only recyclable materials. The new, VDE‑certified plug‑and‑socket systems with their screwless connection technology satisfy the EU's strict REACH & RoHS directives. The result is an exemplary environmental balance.


The series of industrial plugs and sockets has undergone complete redevelopment and offers the highest level of quality "Made in Germany". This is not only of benefit to the environment. INNOLINQ convinces users with its perfect ergonomics and increased contact surfaces which enable considerably lower plugging and pulling forces – this means maximum reliability and safety paired with user‑friendly handling.


Since 1954, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been a globally recognised endorsement of design excellence and is one of the most important design prizes worldwide. It honours design achievements in the following disciplines: product, packaging, communications and service design, architecture and interior architecture as well as professional concept, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). All winning entries are presented in the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE and published in the iF design app.
